Is this for left handers or a left handed reel? Left handers reel with their right hand but I've noticed a recent trend with reels where they're labeling reels as "left handed reels" but it's actually for right handers. Reel problem for lefties

You crank the reel with your left hand. Even though I'm right-handed, I prefer the left-handed reels, just feel more comfortable feeling in with my left hand. It's all personal preference. But you should know what your preference is, as unlike spinning reels, you can't change which hand can crank.

I've had this combo for the last year and have finished mainly with it this fishing season. It's been fantastic for a first time baitcaster user like me, though I definitely feel its limitations compared to the more expensive baitcasters my buddies have.

I've never seen this trend and have quite a few left handed reels. maybe someone is holding the reel upside down?

Left handed means you turn the crank with your left hand.

It's not a big deal, just choose the one you like. The elitism of righties using left handed reels is turning into the new CrossFit.

saltwater reels, stronger hand to reel fish in.

freshwater reels, stronger hand to control the rod.

Been looking for a reasonably priced baitcast combo. Lifelong spinning reel user. Have tried baitcast and reeling with my right hand has always felt strange despite being right handed.

I'm Right handed but on bait casters I reel with my right, spinning with my left. Done it that way since I was a kid.

I have this and was able to switch the reel to the other side without tools. You just unscrew it and switch it to the other side.

It's probably because the SD is showing a wrong picture. It's showing a spinning reel (which you can switch sides) and the Walmart post is showing picture of baitcast reel (which you can't).
