Beware of "flavored" coffees. You ever noticed how flavored coffees like vanilla, hazelnut, etc smell amazing and taste okay on the tongue, but then taste worse at the back of the throat? That's because you're picking up on the underlying flavor of the coffee: stale, rancid, masked by the artificial flavors of vanilla or hazelnut.
Stay away from Amazon branded coffee. Last time I got the Amazon Fresh Bold Crema Espresso and it was horrible. It was only on sale because it was close to expiration. also no returns.

I stopped purchasing coffee from Amazon because ALL I got was skunk coffee.

I agree. I've tried it three different times. It was awful. Rancid and oxidized.

Absolutely. I've tried it three times each time thinking the last one was a bad batch. But all three were rancid and oxidized. Just awful coffee.

To add to that when you go to Tim Hortons, Dunkin, and Starbucks and get a frozen frappe the coffee portion is literally a few squirts of "coffee syrup" that has concentrated coffee and caffeine
Unless you are drinking 5 cups a day, buying cheap coffee is not worth it esp not from Jeff.

Nobody who knows coffee would choose coffee with artificial flavors
I've purchased a few bags of AmazonFresh coffee before. I've personally never received skunk/expired coffee. Also, note that those products have 20k ratings averaging 4.3 so it can't be as horrible as the previous comments here make them out to be.
The Light Roast (Just Bright) is actually correctly labeled as light-roasted coffee such that it may have hints of tart/sour. You can brew longer than you normally would to reduce that taste profile and try to balance it out.
The Medium Roast (Donut Cafe) is what I think most people would prefer to drink when drinking black coffee (no milk/sugar). It's "rich and balanced".
I can't comment on the other flavors offered since I don't drink dark roast or flavored coffee.
However, there are certainly reasons to not buy these coffees:
you don't want to support Amazon/Jeff Bezos
these coffees are a "blend" and you don't really know which coffee estates they come from
iirc, I don't recall if there was a date stating when it was packaged (i.e., so you know how fresh it is)
edit: fwiw, my order came in. The 3-pk Donut Cafe states "use by July 10 2025"

What brands and flavors would you recommend? Recently graduated from K-cups to an Aeropress and was gifted bag of Kicking Horse. Not sure can go back.
Well...it is NOT the brand itself but that Amazon usually sends out stale or near expiration coffee.
A few months. I placed an order for two bags of Kicking Horse coffee. and the beans were light brown and dry. I'll purchase it at nearly twice the price at my local supermarket and taste how it's supposed to be....
8 O'clock coffee is pretty good IF you can get it fresh. Beans dark brown AND oily

I usually go with the 2.2lbs bags of whole bean Lavazza when it's on sale. I drink it black. I've ordered it for several years and never had any stale beans. Maybe I'm just lucky? For people who like sweets there are always those coffee syrups, but they are not for me. Actually, had a SS come in today and the date it was bagged was 13/8/24 with a best buy date of 13/8/26 so at least the stuff I buy is super fresh.

Everyone has to start somewhere. There's nothing wrong with liking artificial flavor in your coffee if you don't like coffee very much. My point is simply that flavored coffees are usually made with subpar beans because they're counting on the flavor syrup to cover it up. For those who really want vanilla/hazelnut/bailey's irish cream in their coffee, they would be better served by buyinghigher quality regular coffee and then adding the flavorings themselves.
