My starbucks spending reduced drastically after the BOGO and $3 offers are gone. Starbucks new CEO trying to increase revenue by not offering any deals it seems. Im not in for it 😀

I've visited a lot less since the reward program was devalued so drastically about 7 or 8 years ago.

You must live in a dead zone because every Dutch Brothers I've seen, from Portland to the Bay Area, had a steady stream of customers. They are the in thing for high school aged customers and there is a steady stream of moms with their kids going through them. They block traffic in some places, which is a real PITA. I've been living with Dutch Brothers mania for 12 + years and it doesn't seem to abate at all.

They changed the redemption on a handcrafted drink from 125 to 150 stars 5 years ago, then from 150 to 200 about 18 months ago. I knew it wasn't 7 years ago because I lived in the US when it happened and I moved here in 2018 😅. For the math nerds: 125 -> 200 in 4 years in 13% annual inflation!

One and done. I think it's targeted to those that didn't take advantage of the previous offer or haven't order anything in awhile. I got a PSL last time, and was really disappointed how water down it was.

I haven't ordered for a while and got nothing discount. Usually I got a birthday free drink for my yearly spending I guess. But this birthday I only got a special offer"2x rewards for your birthday spending". LOL. In fact last year I spent more than usual as I purchased several special mugs during traveling, but not on drinks. So it's a punishment for me, I bet

Was your birthday recent? If they really got rid of the free birthday drink that's going to turn off a lot of folks.

Yeah picked up 6 bags(12oz) Starbucks ground $8.99 bogo last week at Kroger for home brew.

That is crazy. People are going to be really turned off of Starbucks if they don't get a free birthday drink. That said for the last 3 years except this year (I just had my birthday recently) I would never get the free drink coupon. I didn't care enough to call customer service. This year it showed up. I do keep my account active so not sure why it didn't show up previously.
