I'd wait for a better deal on a self propelled model personally, I feel like we've seen them around this price in the past with better batteries and sometimes the dual charger.
Note - I own many green works 80v tools and two of their dual battery self propelled mowers. Great units that have lasted for years, and have gas like tool performance. I've only had one battery of the 6 I own die about 3 years after purchasing, and they replaced it after a call and providing serial info. Great products, but customer service call support times can be abismal (be prepared to wait an hour+ for a service agent).
one additional edit - green works has been the OEM for kobalt 80v tools for quite a few years. you can modify either the battery or the tool slot to fit both, as it's only a physical restriction on inserting one brands battery into the other (they slightly move the positioning of one of the rails). I have a kobalt 80v trimmer that I used a dremel on and shaved one set of rails down to fit. Battery warranty is usually longer than the tool, so I'd rather modify the tool itself.

I got the self-propelled version for $398 over the Labor Day holiday. btw, i believe the same mower is available at greenworks.com. there is a 10% coupon you can stack on top

This is an obsolete model, I expect it will be priced lower soon to move out the old inventory.

So I have a .41 acres piece of flat land and I bought the walmart special GW 60v 2x 5ah(270wh per battery) with dual razor blade. Advertised as up to 80 mins and 1 acres.
I thought this would be perfect for me as I only have .41 acres
The first time I used it, 100% self propelled and it cut maybe 1/4 of the .41 acres before it died. That's like 4500 sqft.
I said, must be something wrong.
Tried 2nd time and I got little better but not much.
3rd try, I did 1/2 pushing and 1/2 SP and I got like half of my .41 acres.
Pretty much GW greatly overstated their cutting runtimes.
Even if I push the entire time, I still wouldn't able to cut my .41 acres when this is advertised at 1 acres.
I'm 99.9% sure this is going back to Walmart.
My question for you is that is GW runtimes really this bad or this is usual ??

I do feel like GW (and many other electric tools companies) estimates their time based on lowest settings/optimal conditions on completely optimal batteries.
I can't say much beyond that, except that I went with 80v from the get go after advice from a friend when first purchasing years back. That'd be my only note going forward for ya based on your experience so far.
I have their 80v in the following: pole saw, chain saw, trimmer, edger, and blower. I have a few 2ah batteries I use with each of them and they all work well, with the exception of the blower (it'll eat through the small battery quick at higher settings). Much like you, my yard isn't too big, so most of my tool use is 10-15 minutes every other week beyond the lawn mower.
