Really good deal. 7900XT is about 15-20% faster than the 4070 ti Super at rasterization (obviously about 20%slower in raytracing) while being about 10-15% more affordable.

If you can afford it, awesome for you!

But I assume you're referring to minimum wage workers who have no kids/other responsibilities, no rent expenses, no bills, no food requirements, no savings to set aside for rainy days, no retirement investments, no college savings to pay into or debt to pay off, no income tax withheld, etc., etc., etc. (Essentially a 14yo working at Chick-fil-A while living with their middle-class parents.) Yeah, if they didn't have all that and more to consider, then you're right—even they could make up the difference in less than a month.

7900XTX at $700 will make it pretty tempting over RTX options.

true but even a minimum wage fast food worker can make up the difference in less than a month lol. I'm gonna be getting a 4080 or 5080 soon just two years after my 6700xt cuz I'm hitting its limits in the games I'm playing - if I bought a 4080 originally I would be set for at least 4 years

Yeah, personally couldn't care less about RT. It's dumb how people make it out to be some kind of holy grail.

Would you recommend the 7900xt over the 4070 ti Super if I used it for PCVR gaming? Maybe like 30% VR and the rest 1440p
I do VR and 1440p@360hz on mine and it's great, it can just run everything I throw at it. I am even doing some UEVR and it's rock solid.

Same, new ones are coming out in a couple of months. Seems like you just hop on the first deal around the time the cards are new, since they aren't discounting them any more 1.5 years after launch. You could get 7900XTX on sale for like $780 almost 2 years ago, now they are still 800+ and about to be last gen.

Is this card better than the sapphire pulse 7900xt? You can use recreate this deal for 562 on that card pre tax.

FYI, Last night when the sapphire was in stock, you could use affirm.

Now that it's on back order you cannot.

Patiently waiting for the 7900XTX to come down to this price since I don't necessarily need it when I own a 6950XT, but I'm aware that may be outside of the realm of possibility so I'm just wishful thinking.

For those not interested in Affirm, should we get this at $650 or wait for Black Friday deals?

I think that this deal may be matched on black friday, and maybe some other lower tier cards if you're not looking for the flagship card from AMD at this time.

Additionally, the RDNA4 cards are expected to launch in January, if performance per watt is an important metric to you, those new cards may be something of value to you over jumping on the 7000 series.

That is of course if the time value is worth it to you, since we're 2.5 months out from that launch.
