Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

Probably worth it just in case, but 5.6 says supports ios 18, and you really only need to do this for 1 year until it unlocks....

So I'm on T-Mobile currently. To all the people adding a Google Voice line to port into this Metro deal: are you stuck using the random Google Voice number or can you somehow port your favored MVNO/Mint/Tello/T-Mobile number over to Metro ?

You are stuck with the GV number. They reserve it to your account just before checkout.
