Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

So, I just found out the $75 metro flex plus plan includes Amazon Prime and 100GB Google One membership. Just to put it out here so people can take advantage of that for a month.

Just an FYI, I followed the advice of others here in this thread and contacted the port department after activation of my phone and then activating the esim with Metro. I told them that I can only make calls and not receive calls. I said that I read online that this is a known issue when transferring landlines. The Metro rep was excellent, and manually completed the port within approximately 5 minutes.

I thank all of you here for the great advice, I love this community!

Did the iphone 12 unlock automatically after the 6 months? I got a Samsung tablet from an old deal when 6 months still was the norm and just checked it and saw it unlocked automatically. Was considering getting a stylus 2024 or a35. Had a chance to try the stylus and love the look, slimer, lighter, higher screen body ratio, back finish that allow you to easily hold the device without needing a case. Extra features such as wireless charging, headphone jack and gestures to activate flashlight and camera also are very nice. But ease of unlocking is a big plus on its own. Which, when combined with pluses already there such as the longer update support and water/dust resistance kind of make me have to reconsider. Do you have any experience on whether motorola devices unlock easily like the Samsungs? I remember many had issues with unlocking the stylus 2023 after the 6 months passed

Received the MKSD v5.6 chip today. It worked well with my T-mobile Sim. Can receive and make calls, texts, 5G is also available. My ip 13 is on ios 18.0.1

Do you have to keep the mksd along with the sim in the sim tray all the time after the unlock? Or you can just take the mksd out and just use the actual sim after mksd unlock? Thanks
