Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

Most likely is your port number does not qualify. All people have no discount on the phone when they use the GV number now.

Thanks. I should have read this thread carefully. Waste of $3. Maybe I can try to get the total moto edge instead.
Any other way to get a cheap number to get this phone ?

I was having the same issue - be sure to contact 800-518-7519 and ask them to cancel the pending port in request and then use a different browser (possibly with VPN) and give it a try - this worked for me.

My next payment due is in 4 days - Already have 2 lines (2 - iphone 12s) I just ordered 3rd line (iphone 13) - hoping to receive it before the payment due date. Just in case if I receive a day late .. do I need to make a payment before I can active the 3rd line or there is some grace period ? 😉

Don't pay for 2nd mo -- your online account should have a free 72hr service extension that you could use (if they still have that option)

You can always just activate it online after its shipped but before your service ends -- that way you don't have to worry about it (doesn't need to be delivered to activate online)

Ok despite the failure others have reported I successfully used US Mobile to get a third phone (iPhone 13) on my account.
Steps:
Download US Mobile app
Select low data plan. (Warp plan to get Verizon)
Select 50 text messages (0 for everything else)
Total for me was $4.48.
Next day requested a port out by chat.
Chat asked why and I said Metro had a great iPhone deal for port in. Offered a free month if I stayed which I declined. Gave my info and he texted a code to me then emailed port out pin and account number. Because of a lot of pauses in the chat took about 15 minutes
Port went through for 3rd phone at Metro.
