Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

Nope, no luck. Nobody at Metro could tell me what was the issue. I gave up. My guess is some limit by address
Yea, I'm giving up too. I've spent too many hours on this to make it worth it.

Is "Port Blocker" enabled on your Red Pocket account?

To the Pros

I activated phone using this link

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/order-status

I would like to leave the box unopened, can I do that and start the one year waiting period or do I need to open the box and complete the last activation step on the phone?

Answer - with two factor authorization, I have to open the box to get the verification sim to access my account

They would not remove two factor authorization

You need the phone in hand -- they text you a confirmation code that you have to enter each time you login to your online account

The address was kept same for both shipping and billing? Or, just shipping?

Whoever tried to add 3rd line and got errors, at which step you got error? I can check a Verizon number and system lets me add to cart for a $35 plan. Not sure if I will get an error when try to checkout.

So the cheapest plan is $50 which is not competitive with visible. But i am aware of tmobile network based alternatives that might be affordable. so what do we do, get the phone and one month of metro flex plus, then...? do we have to put the phone out of commission for a year or can the rest of the first year be on a t-mobile MVNO? And then after that we can bring it into Visible?
