Thanks OP! I just added a google voice number to my google account and ported that in. Takes no time at all. You'll need to go to GV settings and pay $3.00 to unlock the number. You'll also need to enable the "Call to Listen" setting under Voicemail which will let you set a PIN which Metro will ask for. You'll also need the google account number which is just the phone number.

The same iPhone 13, now upgraded to iOS 18.2 with Diagnostic Mode available.
Picture 1 shows iOS 18.2

Picture 3 shows available tools. Apple employees will choose the Mobile Resource Inspector (MRI)
Picture 4 shows MRI in action

Let me show you how the Diagnostics Mode works by a series of posts below.
Installed Metro eSIM on startup and activated the phone using an Apple Account -- it came with iOS 17.x but I updated it to iOS 18.2 (activated and updated it last week)

Yesterday removed eSIM, disabled Find My and logged out of Apple Account then did a factory reset -- went through basic setup again without SIM and without logging in so they could get to settings menu at the store

I just followed the steps above to run MRI diag and it shows all green -- phone shows Apple warranty until 12/25/25

I traded in 5 iPhones at once. One of them failed. The guy who processed my trade-in understand Apple has high failure rate and re-did the test. It passed the second time. It's up to you how to process this information.

Wow, that seems really weird … almost like some kind of glitch in their software or something. Doesn't make sense that the result would just change for something like that. Might be worth a shot to ask them to run it again if someone runs into the issue.

Trying to get this deal but it shows price as 479.99 when i go to checkout. I've put in my porting number and chose the flex plus plan. Any ideas?

Have to port VZ or ATT number -- can't be TMo or VoIP (GV/NB) if you want phone discount

Metro just dropped the price of iPhone 13 to $50. At this rate, we may see this iPhone 13 follows the price trend as iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 to $0 until sold out.

Apple just released their diagnostic mode to the public in 2024, so I think there might be more glitches to be fixed going forward. The issue with Apple and most of its employees is that they do not allow any room for errors even if the errors are on their part. Some employees are more understanding than others.

Someone on Reddit posted on Tues that iP13 would drop to $50 starting today (looks like he was right) -- he also mentioned $100 for iP14

Right now the website doesn't have iP14 listing so that should also be coming soon once TMo gets inventory to Metro

Actually many prefer the iP13 to the iP14 because the specs are very similar but the 13 has a physical sim slot.
