For the Arcam fan that may be looking at their AV41 or needs 15 channels and have the amps.
Crutchfield brought this sale back for $3400 which again a pretty good price for it.
Both balanced & unbalanced preouts with Dirac Live included and offers DLBC for purchase.

Great unit sonically
I went went to this from a Marantz pre-pro and have been impressed with both what it does with Dirac room correction and also what it can do for 2 channel music in pure direct mode.
I suspect a new model is on the horizon as this unit has basically been on the market since 2019.
AVS forum members are questioning if this unit( and its brethren) will get Dirac ART and Harman Audio
Group has been silent on that
It does operate somewhat counter intuitive, in my experience, to the Asian brands and it lacks their guided set up and on screen displays.
But sonically...best Pre/Pro I have ever personally owned and I have had several over the years.

As an AVR31 owner (and active AVS forum member), Id say VERY doubtful this unit will get DIRAC ART. Arcam isnt liklely to push more features on this product line prior to issuing a new line potentially in the near future. This line is essentially same as previous line with added HDMI2.1, which means this lineup is getting a bit long in the tooth. Additionally, even bug fix firmware updates are very few and far between on this lineup.
That being said, this is a sonically masterful piece of equipment (though does have its quirks and useability issues).

I would have to agree and add another possible reason it's doubtful.
To get optimal advantage of ART over DLBC requires 4 subs, this doesn't support that.
Anything below that, DLBC should be good enough for most people.
If someone was primarily concerned about sonics,on a budget & doesn't need 15 channels.
I very good option would be Emotiva's MR1L, it's on sale now for $1199.
I would point out it also has its own quirks and useability issues.

I have an Arcam AVR 30 as well...I bought it open box clerance at Magnolia for a little under $2K. Great piece and sonically superior to the former flagship Denon AVR that it replaced
Funny thing with that unit...I had no issues setting up the pre/pro..It was new in box when I bought it
The AVR30 though..required a couple of resets and me having to reach out to Arcam
All good now though and both units are sonically superior, to my ears, than the Marantz pre/pro and Denon AVR they replaced
From a unit that basically came out in 2019 I guess I dont expect it to get updates 5 years later. I am ok with that based on the sonics of the pieces

That is not exactly accurate. There are Arcam pre/pro owners that have run subs from channels 13/14 and 15/16 on AVS

If true that's A LOT manual calibration & harmonizing and doubt Dirac would recognize those channels as subwoofers so DLBC would be no use.
I own an Arcam AVR40, which I bought as a grey market product, and "fantastic" doesn't even begin to describe it. I use it in my multi-purpose basement, which isn't a dedicated home theater room, and the space is oddly shaped with open walls. The room correction with Dirac, however, is simply phenomenal. My home theater setup easily surpasses the experience at a Regal Movie Theater, hands down. The difference with the room correction is like night and day. I have an 150 inch screen with a 11.2 setup with 5.2 speakers and 6 in-ceiling speakers, and I can't praise Arcam and Dirac enough. This is by far one of the best receivers I've ever owned.
Even my wife, who isn't an audiophile, notices the difference and often comments that our home theater is much better than the theater.
The only drawback is that the setup isn't very intuitive, but if you're a bit technical, it can be done without much trouble.

Interesting so is this a manual conversion like turnne mentioned?
If not how do you get Dirac Live Bass Control to recognize those channels as independent sub outs?
DLBC will recognize the subs on channels 13/14, 15/16. I believe it can handle 4 discrete subs per other AVS user experiences (and would obviously do all the auto calibrations for the subs being discrete). I personally haven't verified this or know how to set those channels to be recognized as subs as I currently only have 1 sub...but it can be done.

SD needs to get rid of the thumbs down. It's become a shit show of total idiocy. Serves no purpose other than to make this place look like a bunch of miserable Idiots.
