Anyone having good experience with trip cancelation? I have bad experience, same as most insurances, they want a ton of information, and dont wanna pay. Some reasons ie. for flight cancellations are not covered, and then u automatically lose claims for hotel food etc. plus its such a pain and timeeffort.. seriously i think many people just give up
Yep crappy. They almost say things are not covered. However medical reason do work for refund

What's this fine print on the application:

"This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months."

I have the CSR so does that imply no bonus for me?

Did you get the bonus for the CSR in the last 48 months? If so, then no, it explicitly says you won't get this bonus. It doesn't imply anything.

Does this offer have to go through the link in the OP or can I refer someone and have them take advantage of this offer while I get a referral bonus?

At my branch they say it's either the 70k or the 300$ credit. Where should they be looking?

CSR perks have been losing value in my experience (had the card for 8 years since it launched in 2016) and will likely switch to the Preferred because it's much harder to get the $550 value out of it.

Pairing the Preferred/Reserve with the Chase Freedom and Freedom Unlimited is the best way to maximize rewards points, and booking travel through the Chase portal is a good way to redeem them if you aren't transferring to an airline mileage program (really only beneficial if you are always flying the same airline).

This was/is my experience as well. Unlimited for daily use and transfer the points to my CSP. I had the CSR and eventually gave it up. The lounge access, in my experience with it, was a joke. Whenever I was actually in a place in my travels to be able to go to the lounge it was always full and they turned me away.

if the application process is any indication, then you can make up anything and they'll approve.
Credit issuer vs. Insurance company. You can bet the latter is going to scrutinize paying out claims for several thousand dollars.

Not only is what your suggesting insurance fraud I would not risk likely getting denied for thousands of dollars.

lol ask them to show you where it is in the fine print. Some people said it's not included in the language the credits.

Fyi the hyatt points transfer isn't just useful for high end experiences like fancy hotels and first class flights. My wife and I are currently on a 7 night road trip staying at all hyatt places for an average of $56/night in points (39500 points) Cash prices would have averaged easily double if not triple.

Signed up in branch in 2022 (80k bonus back then) and was able to get $95 waived for first year. Not sure if this still applies to this offer

Exactly, many people don't understand this. I'm using CSP from 3yrs and totally worth the 95$ AF cuz I've acclaimed more than that every year. And many don't know the Hyatt transfer story which is the best bang for the buck. I wish I can downgrade my current card to get this but I can't as my current one is not above 48months window.

Do you know how fast Chase processes a downgrade to Freedom before ableto sign up for a Sapphire?
