It isn't random. You can charge your Ryobi batteries directly in this device with the usb-c port in the back. So you don't need an additional charger, you can charge your batteries with this device as well.

Don't use it with sensitive electronics as the power can be dirty. I used the Ryobi 800W inverter to run a Dyson fan and it killed it after a couple hours. Fortunately, I found the fuse soldered on circuit board that was burned and got it replaced.

This has a modified sine wave, not pure so I wouldn't use sensitive electronics with it.

I don't love the price. I've seen it cheaper ($5 cheaper) in past year so if you don't need it now, maybe hold out if the $5+ savings is worthwhile, but ultimately your decision.

I will say I find this tool extremely useful to charge Ryobi batteries on the go. I keep a 14" chainsaw and some bar oil in my truck to cut smaller downed trees and limbs while driving. Of course it's light duty and Ryobi does offer a dual chemistry 12v charger for their 18v batteries, but I find the form factor and versatility of this item much more useful.

As long as it is within the rated wattage of this inverter, you should be fine. I don't know what the runtime would be, but I'd recommend a larger Ah battery.

I have dozens of HP batteries. Would just swap them out. Looking for something smaller than my Ecoflow for quick trips. The wattage on my setpower 30L is below 50W.
