Walgreens has these deals every year, usually rotating between Hershey and Mars branded products late Sept and early Oct. I usually don't see alot the week or so before Halloween.

I always assume the retailers have worked the numbers and realized that people like me will buy the candy on sale a month before, eat it all, and then be forced to go back and buy more at full price the week prior.

With discounts, this is better value by weight than the Costco assorted chocolate bags. Unfortunately, not available for pickup anywhere near me

Absolutely not. I always let kids pick three bars from the bowl and those go fast. Learned my lesson and made sure there's no Hershey bars and Baby Ruths though.

When did Halloween candy start to go on sale the month leading up to it instead of afterward? Did AI improve their predictions of how much candy to make/order or what?

If kids had told my mother that they didn't like her candy selection, she would have just said Alrighty then! And shut the door.
Thankfully that never happened.
She eventually migrated from candy to bags containing Halloween pencils and packets of hot chocolate.

Wow did you clip a coupon for the wg cash? Ohhh I do have a spend $30 and get $7 wg cash. The $30 spending is after coupons. I had to ad 19 bags to get there.. oh boy that is a lot of candy..
