I had some old pairs of Lucky Jeans that were made in USA. The last pair I got was made in Mexico, and weren't nearly the same quality. According to Amazon these are made in China so I'm not going to have too much hope on these.

In July 2020, Lucky Brand filed for bankruptcy, and was acquired by Authentic Brands Group.
Now the brand is licenced to slap on cheap chinese products along with a host of other brands that used to be good quality such as: Izod, Nautical, Quicksilver, Juicy Couture, Greg Norman Shark, Eddie Bauer, Aéropostale, Airwalk, Billabong, Rockport, Reebok and many more.
This is why you see these brands at Walmart and TJ Max now.

That's what I love and find inconvenient at the same time. When they were all hand made the fit really could vary between each pair, which is why they were so good. But when they closed the local stores, I lost the ability to try different pairs for the perfect one for me.

Where something is made doesn't make it good or bad, the specs, quality of materials, quality control, manufacturing processes, etc are part of the cost equation too and this company decided to cut costs on all variables. I have some very high end (and expensive) items that are made in China and some very low end (and cheap via Amazon and Temu) that are also made in China.

There aren't many people willing to pay for high quality when (to them) equivalent lower quality items (I.e. the person who berated this deal because they are $30 jeans as too high) are available much cheaper and the people who "invested" in a 5 year pair now don't have to buy again for a while… so you have to lower prices and quality to expand/survive. Lucky went bankrupt. There are only so many higher end jeans companies that can survive.
