This is the Barista Express. Although it is an excellent machine for making espresso drinks, the Barista Pro is also on sale, at $679. The Barista Pro is a much better machine, because it has new heating element technology which very rapidly switches from espresso brewing mode (about 197F) to milk steaming mode (about 260F). The Barista Express takes maybe 30 seconds to switch between these modes.
If you don't care about steaming milk, of course this doesn't matter at all. But if you want to make milk-based drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, and so forth, it is far better if you don't have to wait between brewing the espresso and steaming the milk.
Either machine can make excellent espresso. You can later buy a better grinder; some people buy espresso grinders that cost more than these machines, but the built-in grinder will do a good job, especially if you're getting started with espresso brewing.
There's a YouTube channel called Hoon's Coffee, and he has all kinds of tutorials about making espresso drinks with these machines. He bought a more expensive machine, but he prefers the less expensive Barista Pro and Barista Express machines.
