Good looking out, I've been on a Ryzen 5 3600 + 16gb ram 3000 mhz for way too long.

You are not supposed to buy a mobo, if you don't have one already then just spend a few more bucks and get AM5

Nice price for getting a head start on a budget gaming PC (although for a "budget" part, the 5800X is still a fairly powerful CPU, and will still be able to handle most graphically intensive, high-end games without too much trouble).

No RAM indicated on Review items step though it was checked as a free gift.

That's nonsensical. Sure, the socket and CPU are no longer the latest, top-end part that you can get at the moment. But you can build a very cheap, budget AM4 system right now, and it will likely still be relevant and powerful enough to handle all the latest games several years from now. It's a perfectly good option for people who don't want to spend a lot of money on latest-gen parts.

I take it back. NOT DEAD. It did say Gift RAM was sold out…but I kept reloading checkout screen (5-6 times) until it showed available. YMMV.

Most AM5 MOBO are double the price, there's only very few that are in the $90-$120 range. Usually a used AM4 MOBO is the way to go on a new AM4 build otherwise LGA1700 is the next step up and then AM5.

Dang. I probably would have gone for this instead of the 5700x3d deal. SD stop making me regret my decision! 😠
