I just received mines. It is not shrink wrapped either. It doesn't look used in terms of the ear pads, but the cords doesn't look like it came wrapped from the factory. My guess is that these were opened customer returns and/or shrink wrap packaging became damage at some point so they couldn't sell it in the store as new. Secondipity sources from Target which is why my order was addressed from Target.
It's very deceiving on Secondipity's end. They have things sold as NEW, OPEN BOX, REFURBISHED or USED. I cannot understand how they can call these NEW because once the seal is broken, you don't know how much it was used, if any. That's the reason why there is an OPEN BOX condition.
I am going to test how well they work but am uncertain if I would keep them. What are you doing?
