Something something Lightroom killer.. didn't I hear that a million times before.

I am somewhat a hobbyist and am looking for a real LR alternative for like forever. Nope, none works the same way LR does if you happen to take about few hundred pictures every time (which isn't all that much, if you use burst mode at all).

That's is because Lightroom is not just a photo editor, it is, first and foremost, a catalog, all tools and effecti within LR is nondestructive, every change is made in a "mask" saved in a database and your origin picture isn't impacted. You don't suddenly have multiple versions of the same pictures to manage. it manages all your photos, import and categorize them.

What most of the so called Lightroom killer, is actually doing Photoshop things, and they maybe pretty good at those, but Photoshop is not a Lightroom replacement, and neither is any of those product.

Not at all true. If the code is for the same product (and that is the important part!), it will extend by a year. I am good until 2031.
How did you get a 5+ year license?

Photopea has become my go to for photoshop work. Adobe is such a money sucking machine.
Photopea is great, but it's not Photoshop. When it comes to editing RAW files, nothing beats Photoshop.

Buy 5 licenses and stack them on your account.

That is most likely the case, they do not mix. End one before starting the other.

love me or hate me I will always down vote these monthly subscription things and especially adobe as they seem to have started them... i will never on purpose put another monkey on my back and neither should you.
Why'd you put a monkey on your back in the first place?

I am already signed up for 1 year 20gb with adobe. They bill me $10.xx monthly. Now I bought this one year code. If I add this to my existing contract, what will happen? Will I get billed till my existing contract fulfills and then next 12 months free or I will get next 12 months free using this? Also, the code that I bought, does it expire. To be safe can I wait 8 months before activating it?

Isn't creative cloud storage going away altogether soon?
Oh- it's only the desktop file sync program that they're getting rid of. Still that's kind of annoying if it's manual web upload only if you wanna use cloud storage

I ordered and tried cancelling the paper after to see if it would let me. App said there would be a "discount adjustment" for cancelling and I'd be charged another $35.
Something to keep in mind for anyone planning on doing in-store pickup and never getting it.

I think you're thinking of the 1TB Lightroom plan. The 20GB and 1TB Photography plans should be identical outside of storage.

Last year I got a BF deal for the 1TB Photography Plan $89.99, so this deal is pretty close.

I initially thought the same but it's not, if I recall correctly. The 1TB only includes only PS and the Mickey Mouse Lightroom (or whatever they call it), not the full Classic version. That's the tradeoff of getting 20GB vs 1TB
UPDATE: ok, looks like I stand corrected. Maybe they updated their plans since the initial 1TB release
