Surely not the best syrup, but the price looks good for store brand. The Walmart [walmart.com] equivalent is $2.36.

If you can handle artifical sweeteners the taste difference between regular and sugar free syrup is similar

Almost tried it since it's cheap (and I'm cheapazzjoe, I mean come on). But the very top ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. Bad juju folks, shame on amazon. Here's what my buddy google AI says about that stuff:
  • Weight gain
HFCS is a primary cause of obesity in the United States. It's calorie dense and can contribute to overeating.
  • Liver damage
HFCS can cause the liver to store too much fat, which can lead to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). NASH can cause liver damage and inflammation, and in severe cases, can lead to liver cancer and kidney failure.
  • Type 2 diabetes
HFCS can decrease insulin sensitivity, which is a risk factor for type 2 diabetes.
  • Kidney stones
HFCS can increase calcium levels in urine, which can lead to kidney stones.
  • Tooth decay
HFCS can contribute to tooth decay, which can cause cavities, stains, toothaches, infections, pain, and tooth loss.
  • Intestinal issues
HFCS can add to bacteria in the intestines, which can cause gas and bloating.
