it's good for things that you don't need a windows. No online gaming. No Google drive. But most things else works ok.

screen is good. laptop is light. Keyboard is ok. compatibility sucks. Any game sucks. performs like a u series, if not worse. I returned mine when it was $400 with a $500 trade in value for a $50 ipad. But considering people are spending $1k for shitty ipad that is nothing more than a streaming TV with a powerful but useless soc, it may be a good buy for this.

I tend to agree... I think I'm going to hold. Nobody is buying laptops these days. The prices are going to crater.

This system is great, many of them are adding support. mcafee anti-virus seamlessly working. Davinci resolve is natively supported n snappy.

For everyday user who relies on windows OS, no issues. Compact light weight, better battery life than intel based one.

This is not a gaming laptop similar to MBA. Not many use cases for on device AI similar to recall (coming soon).
Why are you running McAfee antivirus on a Windows ARM machine???

Really a great deal

$800 sale price (less with EPP though)
-$300 trade in value for Tab S6 LITE (crappy out of date tablet)
-10% cashback
-$30 cashback friend referral 1st transaction bonus
=
$420 (possibly less with EPP)

Very very good deal so long as you stack. AND As long as you don't need to use the apps that don't run well on ARM. But if you are fine with ARM then this is a slick as heck.

Remember 2.8k 120hz AMOLED + this is super thin/light + great battery life and good performance. Won't find anything else that has all this for close to $400.

EDIT: I added 990 ssd and it's drops the price to $387 ($300 tablet trade-in) + $67 or $107 (1tb or 2Tb)..you may have to build the cart, and check ln few hours if not instant discount, Samsung app)

This! If you can stack and have a crappy tablet for trade in, $400+ is definitely good, and won't get much cheaper. Even if it crater to $500 , youre ok. If this is your ONLY computer, then I'd still advise against it no matter the cost, unless you're absolutely sure current compatibility is all you'll EVER want

you can access Google Drive through the browser anyway. Plus Google will add support for X Elite very soon. This is not a gaming laptop anyway. Amazing personal device and X Elite is faster than x86 laptops on normal uses. So its great at this price for sure.
Define the apps you consider normal uses? 🤔 that sounds very open ended. Are photo shop and light room normal? They are for photographers. Are Blender and 3D studio normal uses? They are for animators, Etc. Besides, lunar lake whoops these cpus on performance and battery life so you're probably dealing with limited and or outdated data. Keep in mind cpus are incredibly complex and usually the loser can still beat the clear winner in a few edge cases.

Agree, probably why they reduced prices on them now. Honestly this is the maximum price they should have been from the start and ideally be in the $400 range considering how limited they are in program compatibility. They are basically Windows take on a Chrome laptop

Is it worth trading in my Galaxy Book Pro for $300? That would make this $424.99. I already have an M1 Pro Macbook Pro so this would be more of a laptop I take when I travel, it doesn't need to be super powerful.
