it's good for things that you don't need a windows. No online gaming. No Google drive. But most things else works ok.

screen is good. laptop is light. Keyboard is ok. compatibility sucks. Any game sucks. performs like a u series, if not worse. I returned mine when it was $400 with a $500 trade in value for a $50 ipad. But considering people are spending $1k for shitty ipad that is nothing more than a streaming TV with a powerful but useless soc, it may be a good buy for this.

It is great if this thing works for your case - at sale price.

If you are not sure if this is gonna work or you are not very knowlegeable, steer clear and get a portable x86 laptop.

Lunar lake is great, just too expensive for most. If you can wait a while, you should be able to get it under $1k in a few months.

That Nord link just goes to Nord's main site. Did they remove their announcement of an ARM version?

I'm just going to wait for the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 14 or 16" to get lunar lake. Otherwise I'd probably bite on this.

Op should change the title because the price has changed to $760 for about a day and a half. Killer deal especially with an old laptop trade in, if you can stomach using x86 emulation while you wait for Arm compatible apps to appear. If you go to the r/galaxybook subreddit, the complaints are shortened battery life (6 to 8hrs) if you rely on x86 apps. If you use arm native apps, and you can root out all the x86 apps that needlessly open upon startup, you can get up to 20ish hrs of battery life.

The main download install detects the CPU and installs the ARM64 native client if you have ARM, I've tested it.

For a comprehensive list of native ARM64 apps this website is the best resource, I also run plenty of things without issue using the built in x86/x64 emulation, such as TeamViewer, RustDesk, Steam, etc...

any one know how picky they are about laptop trade ins? they dont mention a specific model, just the brand and subbrand. ie HP Envy.

I have a really old one that is missing a key and need to find a charger for it. Anyone have any experience?

This is all they say on their site. Seems to be all about phones/tablets

Good condition (Full trade-in value)
Device turns on and boots normally
Charging port supports charging and data transfer
All software locks are disabled, accounts are removed, and device is factory reset
Screen, body (front and back) and camera lens are free of cracks
The device is not on a banned list

32GB I'd take one.Even for a bit more. 16GB is not enough these days unless you just web browse.

Can you share a screenshot with date and time visible? Samsung may price match it for others with this.
