Its not uncommon that intro products are given for free for a positive review. Posters who post the truth that they are reviewing for a free product are blocked from reviewing any more by the idiot moderators as Amazon.
The original quality of the product can be observed at 2 and 3 star reviews if interested.
But if one wants to go ahead anyway , I would burn test all the chargers/ports before deciding to keep them.
We used them to charge portable batteries, iphone, Android phones, watches, tablets, most of the time using 2 or 3 ports overnight. We did not set on fire any hotel we have been into. I noticed once the charger was a bit warm (4 cables), but we did not use them with the fast-charge purpose in mind, more likely to charge overnight.
Since then, I had another weekend trip where I used the same charger and all in all, I can say it does a decent job, and in case I forget it in a hotel room, I will not shed half a tear!
