I went to sign up like a new customer and brought over my $5 Visible line. Everything was going well until I submitted the order and got the "Call to complete the order" message, and I was stuck. I couldn't log into the Metro account because I guess it hadn't actually been created. And I could not start a new order because entering the number to port now said it was no eligible. I think it was stuck in process so I couldn't use it again, and I could see I was charged the $75 even though the order didn't complete.
I finally had to call in and have the rep complete the order for me. He could see my previous online attempt and said the error is something they're seeing a lot of on the site and that he'd just take care of it over the phone. I submitted all my info to him and he did just that.
I just find it odd that I got the error on my first attempt. I used a different credit card and email than I used back in March but all my other personal info and address were the same. I'm in this to get just two iPhone 12s so I hope I don't have to call them again for the second phone.

When the guy asked why I was coming to Metro I said because they have the free iPhone deal and he said, "yes, the iPhone 12 deal" and assured me the only charge would be the $75.
You can use someone else phone with an available eSIM temporarily. Once ported, you can delete the eSIM from their phone.
