Not to piss you off, but carriers don't make money off devices. So it's understandable they make it "painful" for those of us buying them without continuing their service.
Verizon and its subsidiaries (including your carrier Total Wireless) have a better unlock policy (60 days). But their device prices are also higher. So you device what works for you the best.
This iPhone 12 deal is best for people who want to use them as trade-in's or for existing Metro customers who will actually use them (some extra work is needed).
