Wait for BF. This TV only has the old HDMI 2.0 and a 60Hz panel.
I had a Q60D series and it was absolute garbage. Panel eventually failed after 4 years and thankfully I had the assurian plan and had it replaced.
This is a low end QLED at a great price that is equivalent to a Q60D, which has no local dimming.

The Samsung QE1D is a Samsung store online exclusive that performs the same, but it's only available in 70-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch sizes

It's technically a QLED, but this is really a budget TV. Not a terrible price for 65" or 75", but not a great deal for the 55" TV I'm looking for.

I thought that the Q60D was only released in April 2024. Even the Q60A was only released on 2021.

I agree with other poster that its garbage! I have always been a Samsung fanboy too. It looks good, beautiful but these TVs at least in the past few years have had a major defect. Edge Lit QLEDs will overheat and burn out the screen if you leave it on too long. There is a Rtings article about it. Yeah, so fall asleep with the TV on a few nights, your TV will die within a very short period.

It was a Q60A. It was a 50" that I bought in June of 2022 from a Slickdeal at Walmart for $400 . Since it was only $400 I didnt buy the warranty so I was unlucky like Docmarmo. It expired 3 months after 2 years, so my CC warranty expired too. I didnt put a lot of use on it the first 18 mo or so but then once I started using the bedroom it was in , it died a few months later

Here: https://imgur.com/PyiAjyh It was unusable when I took the video but It completely died after that There is no change in lighting of the room except provided by the TV even though it looks that way.

Moral of story, dont buy an edge lit QLED without a warranty and thus be prepared and be ready to toss it once the warranty ends. 27 months after purchasing mine ended up in the garbage room of my apt building. All I have left to pawn on Ebay is the crappy solar remote
