you obviously don't have the phone. It's a very good budget phone that's a better performer than the Moto Play, Moto G, and Stylus 2023 and previous. Those Moto's get one software upgrade if you are lucky while the Samsung's get 5 years. You calling a $36. phone "trash" is laughable.

Free shipping likely expired because original date of post was 2 weeks ago.
Thanks! But if you search by the name, there is still a free standard S&H label on it. They removed the shipping charge after a live chat.

Another noob question, please.

I have an existing TCL Tracfone which is running low on minutes. I'd like to keep that TCL phone and #.

I bought and activated this A14 2 month ago and now it's unlocked .

Now I want to sell the A14 and harvest the remaining balance. From my TF account, under 'Device Management' can I just click "Remove from Account" the A14, and it's 10 month balance will automatically rollover to my old TCL account /phone number? TIA

Since both phones are activated, you would need customer service rep to transfer service (or combine service) from A14 to TCL. Some reps know how to do it exactly, but some reps will mess up your account. It's a risk.
The reddit DIY guide is for harvesting service from phone that is not activated yet.

No need to remove it just swap the number to different inactive phone. If they activate inactive phone on Tracfone it will remove it from your account and put it on theirs.

I sold one of the Free Tracfone A54 to a phone shop after it unlocked from Total Wireless someone activated it and it removed it from my account

I'm not following you.
I don't care about swapping or keeping the New A14's number. But I do want to swap it's 10 months of service to my original TF account/ number, if possible.

can't combine it once the plan is activated with different number. When you activated the phone you should of used current number to add the balance to it.

Not likely, the HSN & QVC bundles are usually androids & flip phones.

Contact chat support & tell them the phone isn't holding a charge & you want to combine the service with your current TF (don't say swap). If rep hesitates or says they can't just disconnect & try another rep. I did it yesterday, had no problems.

I had to cancel the order and create a new one, the sales associate had to manually add the promo.
Did the sales associate explain why? Maybe, existing customer clause was triggered somehow....

No. Like SlickShoe966 and oregon14 said, you need to contact TF to combine service of two active lines (in the same account). There is some risk talking/chatting with TF to do this.

Take screenshots of the balance of both lines. Make sure the rep understand that you want to transfer/combine the remaining buckets and days (but not the phone #) on the A14 to TCL. The rep will send a verification to the donor phone (A14), although sometimes the rep will want to send code to both phones. Pay attention which phone got an alert that you're trying to move service. It should be on the A14. If you got the alert on the TCL, the rep is doing it wrong (moving service from the wrong device TCL to A14).

If done correctly, the TCL will have balance and days from A14 and the A14 will become inactive. Sometimes balance update is delayed but the service extension (by 10 months) is updated right away. You can check TF app for updates. After A14 becomes Inactive, you can't remove it by yourself. Verify everything is done correctly, you can ask the rep to remove it from your account for you, in the same session or chat back a few minutes later. You can sell A14 after it's removed from your account (note if you leave the TF SIM inside, the buyer may still see the phone # previously associated with it. If you remove it, they may need to buy a $1 BOYD TF SIM and contact TF for activation, if they want to use TF service.)

I recently did 2 separate combines a few weeks apart and was surprised that both times they sent code to the phone I was keeping instead of the one I was deactivating, & I questioned it - but both did combine balance correctly.
The other change is that they wanted the IMEI and sim number of phone I was adding balance to, I don't think they've asked for that before. Always need to be alert when dealing with TF reps.

They gave me an excuse about some issue with the payment method.
