1. Don't use a new user coupon if you aren't a new user, they continuously drop the Hammer on people.
2. Don't click in through slickdeals, they get a fat commission and thats why they always FP these deals. Find the best cash back website for yourself. Sometimes cash back gets as high as 20% and is often 8% or more.

My phone added the new 24 gb data to my current data & shows unlimited T&T with service extended for 1 yr - but until more people reach the end of the unlimited year & report results it's just a guess. Most are assuming it reverts back to whatever your previous buckets were before adding unlimited plan but we will have to see.
Some peoples data was not added but rather will begin once again, after the year is up on the unlimited talk/text bundle.

Thanks for the informative answer, it has helped me understand why all the conflicting comments about this. I have 14000 minutes, 3000 texts but only 2 gig of data and would hate to lose minutes especially.
My account is good until 12-24-24 so I will probably wait until I get closer to that date and contact TF (I know they are never much help) but maybe I can get an answer through chat and save the chat session for proof.

I tried to unlock a Tracfone and it never unlocked and they wasted days of my time and then told me to pound sand.
You may have to file a complaint with the FCC.
This company and these cheap low end phones are no bargain at any price.
I actually ordered 2 and just activated the 2nd one, sadly that one only got 24GB and no hotspot (hotspot was not advertised, so I didn't get shortchanged, but it was a nice perk on the 1st one).
The one that got the extra data + hotspot had an older manufacture date; perhaps these were originally slated to be bundled with the hotspot plan, and they comingled inventory.
Either way, if you get the bonus data + hotspot, just consider it a bonus, it's still a great deal for a device + 1 year of service.
