They validate your name + address and other info now. Last time I tried to order from QVC was in March. Was actually ordering for my elderly grandparents since they needed a low spec phone + cheap plan. But somehow the transaction was flagged and had to call in. Not exactly sure what caused the flagging. Since grandparents were legit new customers I used the new customer code. When calling in they used info like like DoB, previous address, etc to verify who you are now. Couldn't get the transaction through since grandparents aren't able to call by themselves and I'm not going to pretend I'm an 80 year old. They do all this for a $50 transaction, which is a bit overkill IMO.

TF only has hotspot for monthly paid unlimited plans, this plan is considered promotional since it's included with a phone (bundled service) and not eligible either.

Whenever you see a HSN/QVC deal on SD, remember:
1. Don't use a new user coupon if you aren't a new user, they continuously drop the Hammer on people.
2. Don't click in through slickdeals, they get a fat commission and thats why they always FP these deals. Find the best cash back website for yourself. Sometimes cash back gets as high as 20% and is often 8% or more.

Thanks for the informative answer, it has helped me understand why all the conflicting comments about this. I have 14000 minutes, 3000 texts but only 2 gig of data and would hate to lose minutes especially.
My account is good until 12-24-24 so I will probably wait until I get closer to that date and contact TF (I know they are never much help) but maybe I can get an answer through chat and save the chat session for proof.
Thanks again for your help
You don't need to wait, if you are on TF/Verizon (all bundles now are). Activate now and the service will very likely stack/extend to 12/24/25. See post [howardforums.com] and 1st reply here [reddit.com]. Your minutes and text will become unlimited. You are not going to get much help from TF. The reps will say anything to get you off chat. Think again if you think a saved chat session will help you (but do take screenshots of current balance before service transfer).

Sounds like some of us are getting ripped off if our data didn't double & we didn't get hotspot.
Do you know what "ripped off" means? If someone finds a quarter on the side of the road, are you getting "ripped off" because you didn't get one too?

Yep, added 365 days to the existing end date, and added data to the existing remaining data (they stacked). I kept the existing number.

I actually ordered 2 and just activated the 2nd one, sadly that one only got 24GB and no hotspot (which is what was advertised).

The one that got the extra data + hotspot had an older manufacture date; perhaps these were originally slated to be bundled with the hotspot plan, and they comingled inventory.

Either way, if you get the bonus data + hotspot, just consider it a bonus, it's still a great deal for a device + 1 year of service.
Does it say on the packaging that hotspot is included?

Is there a way to port in a number post activation? I want to use the bundled phone for 60 days to unlock it then transfer my main number into this service and use my existing unlocked phone. I haven't seen anyone mentioning this.

Awesome, thanks. Just ordered one. Current 1 year 24GB service expires in 3 months, but will activate the new phone on the existing line to extend my service and data.

I'll have to spend another $1 on a TracFone sim to re-activate my old phone on the line as the A15 is a big downgrade from it (have Moto Stylus 2024 currently on that line).

Combined with 9% cb. Could have saved another 3% if I used PayPal with Chase Freedom, but created a virtual CC with my Citi Double Cash just to be safe. Didn't want to risk losing the $30 off for new customers.

Under $70 total out of pocket for 1 year service and a free (but useless to me) phone is not bad at all. Also, having 24GB data over a year is so much nicer than a 2GB a month plan.

Even without the phone, it wouldn't be easy to find an unlimited talk/text + 2gig/mo data for this price. Adding data is fairly cheap too now @ $10/3gig, or cheaper.

The A15 a big downgrade compared to the Moto Stylus? Nope. Reviews all say otherwise: www.pcmag.com/reviews/motorola-moto-g-stylus-5g-2024 [pcmag.com]

If your current Moto Stylus 2024 has the original SIM on TF/Verizon, very likely you can reuse it without the need to buy another $1 TF BYOD SIM.

My Moto Stylus 2024 has the $1 TracFone BYOD SIM that I used when I replaced my old A51 with it. Do they let you reuse previously activated BYOD SIMs?

Edit: Did some research. Looks like this is a hit or miss and may not be worth the hassle considering a new SIM is only $1. also, looks like I would need the original sim that came with the phone, but I don't have that SIM anymore, and it was Ta otal Wireless phone, so that might not have worked anyways.

Seems TF already paired the Moto G Stylus 2024 IMEI with the $1 TF BYOD SIM for you. TF may let you reuse the SIM when you transfer everything back, but it's also a good idea to have a new $1 SIM ready just in case.

I re-read my comment and realized it could be misinterpreted (I fixed that). Short answer, no, the ad clearly stated 24GB/unlimited talk/text, valid for 12 months. Hotspot is not explicitly included.

it's very easy and you only need 1 command line to remove. Actually 1 more command line to list the apps so you can see which names to remove.
Do you happen to know a list of all the essentials apps I need to run android like that I can keep it to a bare minimum? Please feel free to private message me or reply here. Thanks in advance!

"Our Order Verification Team reviewed recent order(s) on this new account. At this time, we are unable to process these orders, because you already have an existing account with QVC. "

Are they pulling public records data or something? We used a different card with a different name, different email, different address (both billing and ship to), and different phone number
If you comb through public records like using one of those aggregator sites/services that those "we will buy your house with cash" use to get your info to spam you, yes it will show us with records at both addresses.
Which leads me to believe they are using one of those services

Wow that's some aggressive enforcement of the coupon. I guess the public record search probably pays for itself if they can claw back the $30.

Every phone is different but for Samsung that stupid Knox gonna slow things way down. There are 5 Knox apps that you need to disable (or uninstall if you're more adventurous like me). After that, you will experience the speed increase DRAMATICALLY.
