They validate your name + address and other info now. Last time I tried to order from QVC was in March. Was actually ordering for my elderly grandparents since they needed a low spec phone + cheap plan. But somehow the transaction was flagged and had to call in. Not exactly sure what caused the flagging. Since grandparents were legit new customers I used the new customer code. When calling in they used info like like DoB, previous address, etc to verify who you are now. Couldn't get the transaction through since grandparents aren't able to call by themselves and I'm not going to pretend I'm an 80 year old. They do all this for a $50 transaction, which is a bit overkill IMO.

TF only has hotspot for monthly paid unlimited plans, this plan is considered promotional since it's included with a phone (bundled service) and not eligible either.

Whenever you see a HSN/QVC deal on SD, remember:
1. Don't use a new user coupon if you aren't a new user, they continuously drop the Hammer on people.
2. Don't click in through slickdeals, they get a fat commission and thats why they always FP these deals. Find the best cash back website for yourself. Sometimes cash back gets as high as 20% and is often 8% or more.

I am able to turn the hotspot on directly in my TF A15 and share to other phone, guess YMMV.

A few have reported being able to get hot spot, most have not - you're lucky. Someone said they bought 4 & only one had it.

Got this for my kids phone + plan. He currently has an A14 5G and Tello plan. Because phones are locked away at school, and on Wi-fi at home, he uses just under 2GB a month, so should be perfect.
Basically a free upgraded faster phone with AMOLED considering cost of plan.

If you can get the phone before service expires, it's simple DIY [reddit.com] to transfer/combine the service in this bundle to/with the existing line. To switch back to the current phone (best to wait for A15 unlock), click on the inactive device in your account and keep your phone number.

I think the real issue with "only 4GB" is the bloating of memory from apps updating, over time. You have to tweak "process management" (of apps) on Android to get around this. Apps like Whatsapp and such, just get more bloated... Sad.

Pretty much i got Free A54 from Total Wireless its 6GB and only 2.5GB Free according to device care so 3.5GB is being used while idle

Memory use isn't that simple. For one, allocated virtual memory vs actual physical memory used is a long topic in and of itself. The OS and apps will change their behavior based upon available memory. Memory that isn't used is lazily freed, and fragmented memory is garbage collected.

More memory that's not actually needed just means higher cost and lower battery life.

Many people have this false mentality that "more is always better" but they really don't understand the topic well enough to have a valid/informed opinion.

If I get two of these A15 phones, can I use this DIY process to get 2 years of talk/text and 48 GB data to use on one of the phones?

Yes. I got the Blu View 5G before with unlimited talk/text 24GB ($80 on HSN a while back) and I used the "keep number" option to move the service to the A15 5G. I think I have like 43GB total now (already used some data previously).
