They're owned by the same company now, but Tire Rack includes 2 year road hazard, full replacement rather than pro-rated. I've used it 4 times and it's relatively painless. Discount Tire's free road hazard is pro-rated, or you can buy certificates for full replacement.

DT offers free rotation regardless of where the tires were bought.
Costco does too. But DT has more knowledgeable people about tires in general and they are super quick.
Nope, I've purchased plenty of tires from Costco and they refused to rotate the last set on a new vehicle. Took it to DT...
I bought gift cards for someone and the second time she used them, staff went real strong that she "needed" to get a membership - it was a head turner for me listening to them go at her 🙄
