Looks like a good deal but for 12v architecture, depending on both current and future needs the 18v line might be better. Agree with comment above if you need one now

OOPS! Almost pulled the trigger on this and the free saw, glad I read your comment, didn't realize it was only 12v and not compatible with the rest of my DeWalt stuff...

Unless you're already in the 12volt family of tools, I wouldn't start buying into it now.
Find a deal with the DCF850/DCF860 instead - more compact, more powerful, 20v family

This same deal is also available for the DCD701F2 3/8 drill kit for $129 and the combined kit DCK221F2 with both drill and impact driver for $179.

I have most of the Dewalt 12V tools and like them a lot, hardly use my XR 20V versions any more. The impact driver is not as powerful as the 20V, but still pretty powerful, and a fair bit smaller and lighter. I used it a while back to drive tapcons into concrete.

If you have any desire for the 3/8 ratchet, $129 for it and a drill or impact driver along with two batteries and charger is pretty cheap.

The 12v 1/2 in Impact Wrench is actually really powerful, and has more torque than most 20v's out there. 250 ft/lb drive tourque (3000in/lb) , 400 ft/lb reverse torque (4800 in/lb).

specs lag behind m12 fuel and only 2x2ah batt but the free impact wrench seems nice.
