but that was a forest fire, and I was only able to get 2 cause no stores had the battery.
this is a great deal for someone who wants a small driver that can easily do up to 70 ft-lbs
will not over tighten your lugnuts, but you will have to use a torque wrench after to get them up to spec, you can do most everything else on your car or around the house with this.
it is the same power as the 20v one just smaller
dewalt seems to have mostly abandoned the 12v line but you can still get some good deals like this.

Yeah I was the same with the 12v drill last month. No one had the 3ah free battery. I have a strong feeling Dewalt is abandoning the 12v lineup permanently as well as other brands like Skil Tools. I did purchase the 12v Dewalt Screwdriver to replace my brushed version it's shorter by about an inch but the head is more bulky. The gen 1 screwdriver is my all time favorite screwdriver of all brands and I have owned a lot of them! The balance, the hand grip and weight is excellent!
First time home owner noob here, whats the difference between this and a normal drill and do i need it? Got a fixer up home with alot of projects
Normal drill is smooth and continuous, fit for making holes. Impact driver has a massive hammer rotation effect which is very useful for sinking or removing screws. As a noob homeowner, I bought the drill first. Then discovered the impact driver which also has one mode where it kind of acts like a drill. So now I rarely touch the drill for day to day chores. My Dewalt drill came with a clutch mechanism to take round shaped drill bits (it can also take hex bits). This Impact driver takes only hex bits. Cut to the chase, I would buy an impact driver for sure. Though you may be better off buying the 20V pair (drill + impact driver) for $150 to have enough ammo for your projects.

I managed to get one. Returned the battery and kept the kit for a net price of $32.
