In the highly unlikely event you're TRULY MSG intolerant, no cheese or tomatoes for you! (naturally occurring MSG) -- otherwise, it's all in your head.
That said - I get headaches as well and have to use 1/4th of the seasoning packets or 1/2 if doing a big pot of water (like 4 qts)
If you want to really plus it up take an egg and mix it with a tablespoon or two of kecap manis (Sweet soy sauce). And fry it up and add it to your mi goreng for an added protein kick.
MSG makes you strong. Buy an MSG shaker.

cheese does help me go to sleep but never a headache like MSG. also MSG tightens your neck in a weird way. MSG intolerance is a real thing.
