I just recently did a relatively deep dive on mid-range QLED TV's when purchasing a TV for my grandfather and I settled on the TCL Q7 Series, which has received consistently high praise and well regarded as an excellent value across the board. It's been excellent so far. It even has a small in-built subwoofer which sounded good enough for us to skip the soundbar (trying to minimize complexity for the 96 y/o man)
It's currently selling for $550 at Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-...Id=6579459
All that said, if you budget is very tight and you're interested in getting into an QLED, this is probably the lowest cost of entry we've seen for a 55".

The other biggie is Costco price includes 3 year warranty.
Personally, besides those, don't think there's much.
My impression of the Rtings review of the QD6 is they weren't impressed. They didn't do the QD5 yet, but certainly don't expect much difference. Certainly not better.
If you're not picky about the os, go with Costco, if possible, even if you're not a member.
Personally, I'm looking for a Google tv.

For $20-30 more, there are a couple of 58" TCL models I saw. Not QD6, but one is GoogleTV and the other has 2.1 sound system. I'll try to look at them in person.
