When they refund you TIV they refund tax also. They adjust TIV with phone price and recalculate tax and refund the amount. Ideally the refund will be more than TIV.

You can get $1000 off an iPhone 16 Pro Max with an iPhone 13 Pro Max trade in too. Not unlocked of course but I wouldn't call this a great deal.

You can get $1000 off iPhone 16 pro trading any phone but you will be locking into a 36 month contract. It does not compare to this deal by any means. This is an unlocked phone from day one. No crappy 36 months contracts.
