After 2 years, my mug disconnects, stops heating, and tries to connect repeatedly everytime I take it off the coaster. I emailed ember support with a video and I haven't received a response. I loved the mug otherwise.

Edit: Support magically got back to me the same day I posted this and offered a free replacement.

If you have any problems with ember products, be prepared to get very little support. If you google search, you will find out what I mean

i've had 2 of the gen 1 mugs fail on me but in both cases the issue wasn't the mug itself, but the charging plate it sits on. there are 2 prongs and they would eventually break or not "pop up" enough to make contact.

You're one of the lucky ones. I reached out to them and they only offered to give me a discount on a new one. I had my stored and didn't use it until recently. Can't hold a charge at all.

This is annoying to read but also reassuring. I've had the mug a month and I hate how much I love it. Reviews are consistent with the longevity of this product. Great to know there's a chance for replacement when things inevitably go wrong.

As a coffee drinker who prefers a standard mug and keeps it on a warmer, I totally get the appeal of the regular mug. Without the warmer it's luke warm within 15 minutes. What I don't get is the travel mug. My Yeti will keep my coffee hot for hours when I'm on the go. Who needs to keep a single cup of coffee hot for more than a couple hours?

I got this deal from woot. First of all the box was pretty banged up. There are multiple signs that this might was well used before. Scratches on the lid, coffee stains on the inside of the lid and lots of smudges on the body right out of the box. Most importantly, it wouldn't charge. It's been on the charger for couple of hours now and the battery percentage doesn't go up and if I take it off the charger it turns off. Pretty disappointing. will return
