BP, Amoco, or AMPM is never near the cheapest. 10 cents on these higher price stations won't help when they are usually 50 cents+ more expensive than the cheapest.

Sounds like an area-based problem. Where are you? I still get in 1-2 day or less.

This is determined by the baseline offer of 10¢ per gallon. The data is sourced from the Department of Transportation. Individual member savings may vary based on fuel usage and purchase activity, among other factors.

It is a REQUIREMENT and a must to some cars that are not programmed to adjust their timings using low octane gas. Some cars are flexible that can utilize high octane gas to advance their timing thus gaining few horsepower.
If your car says 87 octane then use 87 because it is unlikely that it can take advantage of 91 which is a waste of money (read your car manual). If your car says 91 octane preferred then you are likely to safely use 87 but with power penalties.
If your car says 91 octane or above ONLY... then don't use 87 or your car will knock and may lead to bent connecting rods which is a very serious damage.
In short, high octane (Premium) is not about gas quality (or how clean it is), it is about its ignitability property.
