Word of caution, this is by far the worst company I've dealt with. Transferred from T-Mobile using their last promo for $15/mo per line. Promo pricing never applied. Filed FCC complaint. Their customer service is completely useless. I will be porting out all of my lines at a first chance I get.

Not true. I've already changed devices on a few accounts and the promo has remained. As long as you DIY and not involve much of CS for said changes, you'll be fine. Don't believe everything you hear from CS, they aren't properly trained.

No, bad idea to swap the sims, they will deactivate the device and you could lose the promo.

I activated them myself with new sims each time I switched devices. The sims are only $1 so it's no big deal, some devices were esim so even better.

Buying it before the promo ends to activate it months later is not ideal. You risk not having the promo or the value already paid when you activate it much later. Not worth the risk.

BYOD does not remove the deal. You can SIM swap to another BYOD device.

Is it possible to sign-up now but start service in January? Waiting for 1-year prepaid US mobile Black Friday deal from last year to expire.

Also, isn't US mobile better still since it allows free roaming between Verizon and AT&T towers, essentially avoiding all blackout spots?

Waiting that long to activate is risky. It might work, but if it doesn't, then you'll be out of luck.

I'm also on USM and waiting to see what their new bf / cyber deal will be this year. USM gives you the flexibility to "teleport" between networks but verizon works where needed so I've never had to use that feature.
