I'd wait till tcl or hisense go on sale, they seem best quality among budget level tvs. Unless you really need a tv now, there should be more sales upcoming leading up to black friday
This is a great price, but I have soooooooo many TCL Roku TVs in the house. It's just super convenient having every tv work with the same remote or with my phone app.

TCL is shit. Had a 75" backlight crap out in 2 years. YMMV
Not my experience at all. I've returned Hisense and Onn TVs, but I've yet to have a single issue with any TCL tv I've purchased in the last decade plus.

Got one to put in the workout room. Really doesn't need anything spectacular so this will do. Thanks for the deal!

You're experience may be true but that doesn't mean that TCL isn't a lot better than Pioneer. I agree with the first guy that TCL and Hisense are the best options for the price ranges they are available in.

almost no difference - I have some good/expensive monitors and one TCL 43" TV - I like the TV as monitor for my daily usage (not gaming).

There are few 43" 4k monitors out there except very expensvie ones. Common 32" monitors are a bit too small for 4k resolution. 43" is just the right size for the eye at 4k resolution.

Another bonus is having a decent speaker. Some monitors have spekers but usually on the weak side.

Get a high quality monitor. It's a night and day difference. Your eyes will thank you in more ways than one.

I have one of these hooked to a PC in my garage golf simulator. I chose it simply because the bezel is perfect for adding a bezel-mount touchscreen interface. Color and clarity seem fine, though I haven't dug in as I would with a monitor at my desk. If anyone wants me to check something, I could probably do it today.

Return Question for those who are ebay experts Wink

When you buy from Best Buy like this and you need to return, can you return to store?

Having to pay for return shipping on this seems to be very risky.

can we use it as a monitor?
Short answer - No (not in my opinion)

I bought this TV directly from my local Best Buy back in Aug to use as a backup for my 43" TCL but returned it almost immediately. Text wasn't sharp enough and I couldn't adjust the brightness and contrast to make it work as an all-day monitor.

Last week I bought a Hisense 43" A6 from Best Buy and it's even better than the TCL as a monitor - so that's what I would recommend.

I bought the Hisense for $150, now it shows up as $170. Maybe get an open box.

The Pioneer is fine if you just want a cheap TV though
