Extra 2% bonus for making a purchase on November 7th with your BoA credit card. Up to $2500 spend for $50 extra cash back or similar for point based credit card. If you already have the 5.25% for bonus category, this means 7.25% total cash back.

Have it in my calendar to make a $2,500 tax payment at payusatax.com.

Using my BofA unlimited cash card and platinum rewards, that's 4.625% cash back and only a 1.82% payment fee.

That's about $70. Plus I still have 0% promo interest rate until October, since it's a new card.
It's not that exciting. This is essentially up to a $50 rebate on $2500+ spend. Not worth it for most people to go out of their way and time their purchases around this bonus.
But it does stack with preferred rewards.

You won't get a bonus on the 2%, but you will still get your bonus on the card as usual.

If you have customized cash platinum rewards and haven't used your $2500 spend limit for the quarter on your chosen category, that can be 7.25% cash back!

3% - custom category base reward
2.25% - platinum rewards bonus
2% - rewards day bonus

Unfortunately, I already used my $2500 spend for the quarter, so the unlimited cash is a better choice for me.

It says "transaction date", not "post date".

I have a pending payment right now, and the transaction date is there. If it posts tomorrow, I'll still get the cash back.

That makes more sense.

I took advantage of this promo last year. The actual settlement date on purchases was a few days after but I still received the extra 2%.

For utilities the US Bank Cash+ Visa has been amazing. 5% cash back on first $2k each quarter. You just have to remember to select utilities category each quarter. I got it when there was a $300 sign up bonus on $1k spend.

So I am an idiot! Feel free to pile on! It didn't click that you need to be a Costco member to buy an e-gift card from Costco! Already switched my category and now I am out of luck. 😓

A membership can also be an online purchase.

I called and asked, and I believe it's per unique card. If you have 3 cards, you get $2500 per card. If you have authorized users, it's probably not per authorized user.

It's a flat 2% on top of any other cashback you'd normally receive, regardless of your rewards status.
I called and asked as well. The customer service said, "per unique consumer credit card account," which means per card.

Do utilities count as Online category for Customized Cash card?
The only card I know of with utility cashback is the US Bank Cash+. It's 5% with $2,000 per quarter cap. There's also a Venmo Credit Card with a 3% cash back on utilities.

Yup I use Venmo card for utilities.

"per each unique account or each unique small business company"

That's not clear enough in my mind. I'm only trying it on one card, even though I have two.

It could be per web account (containing all my BofA accounts) or per credit card account.
I think I agree with you, unlike other credit cards which lock cash back deals to specific cards BofA seems to have cash back that applies to all cards once enabled.

Later posts said they called BofA and were told it's good if you have two card accounts (but not two authorized users on the same card account).

I'm still only doing it on one card, but that's because I've already used the $2500 quarterly spend on my customized cash card. So, it would only be 3.75% with the 2% bonus, which isn't big enough to be worthwhile for me. My unlimited cash card is 4.625% with the bonus.

I'm going to be honest I don't trust BofA as far as I can throw them with all of the things I've been through with them (but all banks seem to be terrible and this is the devil I know) so I'd REALLY take what they tell people on the phone with several grains of salt. I like your idea of using a single card even if that's your default Smilie so I've moved my regularly scheduled payments all to today

I don't trust them either. I never take a bonus deal that makes me lose money if the bonus isn't paid.

In my case, I paid taxes for a fee of 1.82%. Even without the bonus, I get 2.625% on my customized cash card, so I can't really lose money, just make $50 less.

Can we buy amazon gift cards from amazon.com, instead of going to Lowes stores to buy physical amazon gift cards?

That was their "trick" to use home improvement B&M category for online amazon purchases. With online purchases as category amazon directly should work up to 2500.
