Extra 2% bonus for making a purchase on November 7th with your BoA credit card. Up to $2500 spend for $50 extra cash back or similar for point based credit card. If you already have the 5.25% for bonus category, this means 7.25% total cash back.

Using my BofA unlimited cash card and platinum rewards, that's 4.625% cash back and only a 1.82% payment fee.
That's about $70. Plus I still have 0% promo interest rate until October, since it's a new card.
You won't get a bonus on the 2%, but you will still get your bonus on the card as usual.
If you have customized cash platinum rewards and haven't used your $2500 spend limit for the quarter on your chosen category, that can be 7.25% cash back!
3% - custom category base reward
2.25% - platinum rewards bonus
2% - rewards day bonus
Unfortunately, I already used my $2500 spend for the quarter, so the unlimited cash is a better choice for me.

Same boat.
My tax payment is pending too.
I think we will be fine. The transaction date on the pending transaction is the 7th. That should not change.
Only 3 of them had a txn date of 11/7 and qualified for the 2% bonus. The other 3 got pushed to 11/8 and didn't get the extra 2%. Anyone had a similar experience?

Crap, that sucks.

Mine still says pending from 11/7.
I approved the txn just minutes after making the purchase, but it got flagged for suspicious activity and Costco system had to reprocess the 3 out of 6 next business day.
I did get 3 gift cards emails right away at 10 am eastern and the other 3 at 11pm eastern.
Basically bofa customer care team said they can't do anything because it's Costco's fault for re-processing too late. And we can't disable fraud alerts or let them know in advance for large or unusual purchases.

If BofA had flagged it, you might have something. But BofA has a kind of awesome fraud system that would have made it unlikely.
- They reject the charge, which will almost always cause you to promptly call their customer service line.
- The phone robots recognize immediately that you have a recent fraud-rejected a charge, and walks you through fixing it.
- Once you do that, you can resubmit immediately.
So, if BofA had flagged it, you would have fixed it before the day was up. Probably in under ten minutes.

Bofa had mentioned bofa fraud system marked it as fraud
I fixed it 2 minutes after the text message at 10am est. But it was still automatically reprocessed the next day on Costco side so it didn't qualify for the 2% anymore for half of the purchase
update: HAHAHAHAHA!!! good job BofA for living up to my expectations and pushing back one transaction to the 8th even thought it was made on the 7th before noon. Oh well it was going on that card anyway just moved up the purchase date.

Re: Costco gift cards: The egift cards should get the extra 2% fine. Physical costco gift cards are "reprocessed" by costco days later - there is nothing BoA can do about it, and I didnt get the extra 2% last year. Lesson learned
