7.50-7.99 for a 12 pack puts this in the 4-5 dollar territory for a 12 pack.

I get this is the new normal but man this blows.

Because of the "new normal" with these ridiculous prices - I now get the Walmart brand soda - $1 for a 2 liter. Coke and Pepsi lost me as a customer for life!

People here pretending we're not on a deal site with a price archive from the past decade plus.

Even 4.5 years ago you could get 12 packs for $2.40 - not sure why everyone thinks $2 per 12 pack is outrageous pre-COVID and is "last millennium".

That deal you posted was pre-COVID and had 340 upvotes. 340. Not many deals here get close to that many upvotes. Could it be that at the time, $2.40 was unheard of for a pack of Coke making that a great deal?

That deal also shows the normal price of $5 per 12-pack,(at the end of Trump's term). When was the last time $2 was the normal price of a 12-pack?

It is. I actually drink less soda now than I used to, which is a good thing! But still sucks 😅.

Yea $15 for 3 12-packs is to much.

If you like diet coke try the diet soda from Aldi. Taste good and is only $3 a 12pack.

There is a good reason. Please are fine paying $8-9 for a twelve-pack.
"Fine paying" isn't the correct choice of words. Too stupid and braindead is more accurate. Hate to sound harsh, but after decades of excess and spirited competition, we forgotten how to say no and/or do without.

So, our good reason is identical. 12packs are that price because people pay it. It's something we'll be fighting long after the election, regardless who wins.

With these prices I've totally stop buy soda and the comment from Coke executives saying they see no reason to lower prices as their sales are reflecting higher. Well that's good for them. It forced me to discover cheap carbonated flavored waters 10x's less than Coke or Pepsi. I don't look back

I switched shasta soda, already cheaper then this lol
My all-time favorite soda (next to 7-up Gold which only existed for a short time in the late 80s) is Diet Shasta Grapefruit. It's so much better (grapefruit-ier?) than Fresca or Squirt and makes an amazing mixer. Too bad it's not available where I live.

Very slick deal in my case! 3 12-packs of Coca-Cola after 40% off deal, 10% TM discount, and 5% circle card down to $13.30 from $23.97 full price. So about ~$4.43 for each 🙂

Stack it with ibotta $1 off each 12 pack for Diet Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Coca Cola Zero Sugar, or Coca-Cola, limit 5 packs each on the ibotta offer. Brings each 12 pack down to $3.80, a little less if you have a red card.
First useful comment buried among the inflation reminiscingworship . I do plan to do this now that I read this comment. Will say that although I am an ibotta user, it is super annoying the way they discriminate between products/details. So often any variation and the ibotta deal doesn't go through.EEK!

Pre-Covid we consistently got 12-packs for $2.25-$2.75. I no longer buy cans is it is more than $0.25/can. If that means I never buy pop again, I'll survive.

$1 soft drinks at Wendy any size is the best deal haha
I'd say this is a better deal. This is 37-41¢/can, and cans will have a much more consistent quality than a fountain drink. Even if you drink 2 cans, it's still cheaper than the $1 fountain drink. Plus there's the convenience factor. You can keep the cans in your house or take them with you and have a coke anywhere, whereas you can only get a Wendy's fountain drink at a Wendy's location.

Situations where I could see Wendy's being a perk: 1. If you prefer the customization of Coke Freestyle drinks. 2. If you drink a lot of soda at once. If you're getting a refill and end up drinking 30+ oz of soda, its cheaper than cans. 3. If you rarely drink soda and some of the cans would go bad.

All these are contingent on Wendy's being convenient for you. The closest Wendy's to me is ~40 minutes to my house or ~20 minutes from my work. I'm definitely not going to Wendy's unless I'm right by one.

Yeah, me too! They were over a dollar for a while but then dropped back to just a dollar and glad they still are.

Seeing $3 to $4 for one 2 liter of Coke is crazy. And Dollar General now has 3 for $6 of Coke or whatever and not having them come out a dollar a piece if you buy 3 or 4 or 5.
