This looks like a solid mid range gaming laptop. FHD screen suits the 4060 GPU, 360Hz response time is fast (Review lists 165Hz) and 300 NITs of brightness is adequate. Most laptops at this price will come with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, so I consider 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD to be a nice bonus.

review : https://www.notebookcheck.net/Del...585.0.html

Pros:

Excellent if power hungry CPU.
140W 4060 GPU. DLSS. 8GB VRAM.
32 GB RAM.
2TB SSD.
Decent port selection, USB-C DP (no PD)
7 Hours of battery life for video/productivity (~1 hour when gaming).
Cons:

Dell utilizes non-conventional M.2 2242 slots (M-key) for storage. Users should take this into consideration when adding or replacing NVMe drives.
Port placement is not ideal with USB-A only on right side. No USB-C charging.
Large and heavy. Not ideal for on the go.
If you're looking for a good performance on a FHD gaming laptop then the price combined with 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD make this s slick deal.

I would consider buying this unless I needed portability and better battery life, but then you're looking at no GPU or a lot more $$.

I saw the price is $999.99, after 10% off, it would be $899.99 not $810.99

Check the title, the price and the description. Everywhere it says $899.99 and at only one place it said $810.99, hinting that it was a typo.
Fixed that bit.

Oh, I got the G16 with only 16gb ram. The 32gb ram versionwas $1300. Mine was only $1200. I can easily buy a 16b ram stick with only $45.

FYI - The secondary nvme slot fits a full size nvme. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQUHOc7x-9A

Any thoughts on this deal? Thinking of buying a gaming laptop this BF.
Missed out this amazing deal this month: HP OMEN 16-ae0001nr 16.1" Gaming Laptop Computer Platinum Collection - Meteor Silver; Intel Core i7 14th Gen 14700HX - Micro Center extra $25 off. pickup only - $989
i don't think that machine is gonna come back in the same price again in the upcoming month.
What do you guys think should i go ahead with this one? or maybe wait for some another better deal to pop up? Any leads and info would be appreciated.
i am looking for a mid-range gaming laptop and i am student as well so i can bare the portability issue but not the battery life. i prefer intel over amd and anything is fine as for dGPU (4060 or 4070).

Good specs, but as the owner of a G15, I would never buy another one. Build quality sucks, and unless things have changed in the last couple of years, these things get unbearably hot.

How are these 2 comparable?

One costs 50% more.
