Pros:
Excellent if power hungry CPU.
140W 4060 GPU. DLSS. 8GB VRAM.
32 GB RAM.
2TB SSD.
Decent port selection, USB-C DP (no PD)
7 Hours of battery life for video/productivity (~1 hour when gaming).
Cons:
Dell utilizes non-conventional M.2 2242 slots (M-key) for storage. Users should take this into consideration when adding or replacing NVMe drives.
Port placement is not ideal with USB-A only on right side. No USB-C charging.
Large and heavy. Not ideal for on the go.
If you're looking for a good performance on a FHD gaming laptop then the price combined with 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD make this s slick deal.
I would consider buying this unless I needed portability and better battery life, but then you're looking at no GPU or a lot more $$.

I would say this is not a bad deal by any means, but personally I wouldn't pay that much to be stuck with a 4060.
I recently bought a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 from Micro Center. The specs were: 16GB RAM, 4070 8GB dGPU, and AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS. I got it for $850. Everything was perfect except for the battery life and the processor. Even though the processor was a newer chip, it lacked an iGPU, meaning I couldn't turn off the dGPU, which resulted in excessive battery consumption. It hardly lasts an hour and a half. The benchmarks weren't impressive either. Despite being a newer version, it was outperformed by the older 7845HS.
I read reviews of this Dell G15 on Dell's website, and the cooling system seems very effective. I'm not sure what others are saying above—I think they might have purchased an older model, which could explain any issues with hardware. This newer version doesn't seem to have those problems.
The only cons, in my opinion, are the bulky look, plastic build, and the massive power brick. Other than that, it should meet all your needs. I've ordered one; let's see how it goes! Thanks, OP!

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with the current deal. It is a good antecdote to prove that you do not understand hardware interoperability, or researching purchases, but that is all. I'm glad you got all that off your chest though.

P.S. I'm the first to admit I'm not some 'tech god,' but trust me, I've done my research. Probably been at this before you were even around. Glad you took time out of your day for that snarky reply—always a pleasure seeing how easy it is to trigger folks like you. Guess we know who the real 'Karen' is here. Good job!
There is definitely plenty of reason to buy a 4070 for 1080p if you value high refresh rate over resolution.
