I have no idea what's a good deal in power stations, they are always on sale! Does anyone have a metric to use on these things. I am planning on buying a big one in the next couple months, but brand and price are the big questions for me.

A 7.2 KWH battery is less than 10% of the capacity provided by an electric vehicle battery. At this price point, I think it starts to make sense to consider getting an EV that allows you to draw energy from the battery (more than 10X more KW hours than this battery offers).

I'm merely pointing out that if you are interested in having electricity backup for power outages (or tailgating/camping), are looking to spend $3,000-$6,000 on a power station and can hold off until the next time you're in the market for a car, it could make sense to consider getting an EV that you can draw energy from. This is especially true if the cost differential between a gas engine vehicle and an EV with tax incentives is low. If that is not something that you are interested in considering, then I guess the suggestion doesn't apply for you.

You are very right about the capacity and applicaton of a reverse draw EV battery. Would you have any reccomendatons as to which vehicles offer this?

Yes, the Ioniq 5, EV 6, F150 Lightning, and Rivian (and several others) offer it either standard, or with a converter. The converter that I bought for my Ioniq 5 cost $169 on EBay.

I am heavily invested in EcoFlow ecosystem so I can't say about other brand, but a good deal on the EcoFlow Delta Pro is around $2000 brand new or $1500 refurbished.

The extra battery on a good deal is around $1300.

But... BlackFriday is also around the corner. Here hoping for the Delta Pro 3 getting lower than the recored lowest point of $2200.

Yes, Davidt100. You are exactly right. I was saying that no matter what your situation is, there should be no acceptable choice for you other than to buy an EV, instead of a Power Station.

Well, the best deal for an EcoFlow Delta Pro and extra battery would be $2000 + $1300, which is the same as this one right here.

You can't get individual deal now, so if you need 7.2kW, this is a good deal. Whether it's good enough for you is subjective.

Depends a lot of what you're using the power for. I have this pair, DP + SB in my camper van, and it's powering everything in the "house" part of the van perfectly. I get two weeks worth of power from it on it's own, but also have the EF alternator charge, so on trips, I'd re-charging it. The size/shape of them is less convenient than a purpose built system, but if I did have the power go out for an extended period, it would take me 10 minutes to get both of them in the house and keeping my fridges running.

Rivian doesn't do V2H or V2G yet. Was told in a future software update V2H will be available, but then again we were promised YouTube in the summer too.

During the October prime sale, they had the Delta Pro + 400w panel for about $1960 after a couple of coupon codes. They also had a code that worked on the extra battery which came in around $1140.
