You're totally right but this pedal is on backorder (OOS) at Sweetwater and Musician's Friend currently. Please correct me if I'm wrong also but EHX doesn't actually sell from their site just helps locate dealers. Thanks!

Correct, does not look like they sell direct, but their sale is listed there. Authorized dealers could price match based on that

That said, these are most likely underperforming pedals on sale. I've been reading about this particular pedal and there are many reports of defective "Bias" pots. Apparently a "known issue".

Ah noted, thanks for letting us know. Just in case for anyone who wasn't aware already, it looks like EHX provides a one-year warranty on their products as long as you register online within 10 days of purchase according to the owner's manual warranty section [google.com] near the last page or two.

If you don't mind soldering 3 parts, this has holes and markings for converting it to the famous Jordan Boss/Buzz Tone pedal. For copyright purposes they left these three parts out, but the labels and holes are present for a super easy mod. Just the capacitor will improve it tremendously, the two extra diodes I've heard are only a small improvement.
