Upvoting since these are supposedly high quality US made glasses and to the best of my knowledge, NOT owned by Luxotica.

Anyone done a return with these folks? I know they aren't free returns, but do they charge like $20 for a label or something? Or can you just ship back with your own label?

In their FAQs.. "EyeDictive will not cover the cost of return shipping, except for damaged or defective frames.". You pay the return shipping

This is decent selection. You can have glass or you can have polarized, but you cannot have both. I have the glass aviators (non polarized) from another deal from Eyedictive. Solid product. In this case, I like the ANSI ratings on a couple of the models with nylon lenses, so I may grab one or the other.

Plus, the lenses are oleophobic, which is great because I'm afraid of margarine too.

Right, I get that and that part is fine. BUT, I was asking if anyone had done a return and knows how they handle not covering. For example, can I send it back with my own label? Two pairs are likely under one pound, so probably less than $10. OR do they require you to use their pre-paid label that they take out of your return -- that can be fine, or it could be a super high amount -- like, they could charge $15 per PAIR if they wanted.

The glass original pilots are a steal...but the 52s are going to be small for most people. Make sure that's what you want.

You're wrong about glass lenses. It could be glass +polarised even +photochromic.
Look at Persol. Every non-glass lenses will last 1, maximum 2 seasons, then you'll got a scratch, which you always will notify. My personal choice is cheap, but acceptable quality polarized plastic for a summer or exceptional quality glass, never Luxottica.
Got more than 5 orders from this site, original and no regrets on their prices!

Do you mean from eyedictive or in general?

I used to have polarized glass lenses ao pilot but I've since lost them. Frown

It doesn't seem like ao even makes what I want anymore unfortunately.

Just for this offer. I could have worded that more clearly. The AOs that I have are non-polarized glass lenses. My Persols are polarized glass. I only wear them when driving. I keep a pair of inexpensive Blenders in the car so I don't worry about going without, and that allows me to keep a little closer eye on the "nice" ones that I have. Losing a nice pair is a bummer. Just follow the sales on Eyedictive through E-mail alerts and SD and eventually they'll offer something you like at a good price. Eyedictive is also good place to shop for RX-able frames if you wear prescription glasses too.

Finally back to normal pricing! I've lost quite a few of these but couldn't bring myself to pay the $200+ they are going for on Amazon now. Time to stock up

Are these glass lenses?

Never mind- answered my own question.

Love glass lenses and this is an excellent deal for the price.

Yeah, I just noticed that and I'm on the fence; when I bought my AO Pilots back when they were like $40 on ebay, I bought the 55mm lens width and they fit well, and my head is pretty average in size (I think?). 52mm seems like it would be pretty small.

The Checkmates and the Squares are wider but I don't particularly like those styles nearly as much as the Original Pilots.
