No, you can't just copy these files to Google Cloud. They are stored in a secure section of the storage that you cannot access. I like the phone, but it needs more storage, unless you plan to keep everything in the cloud.
Anyone saying that's enough for them is going to feel it the storage limit a year or 2 down the line, never had the great experience of having expendable storage in the early 2010s, or will cause borderline ewaste and buy a new phone/tablet... I'm looking at you, Apple with your 64GB iPads.
