Thanks to community member
v_gah for finding this deal.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a Google Play Gold tier member or above.
- Note: This is a targeted offer ("YMMV") for select Gold or above members and not all Gold members (or above) will qualify.
- To become a Gold member, you must:
- Be a Google Play Pass subscriber ($4.99/mo. or $29.99/year)
- Have spent at least $600 or 600 Play Points (or any combination of real-world money + Play Points to equal 600 in total) on the Google Play Store.
Deal Instructions:
- Visit the Perks section of your Google Play account.
- If eligible, claim your 30% off Pixel 9 promo code.
- Visit the Google Store to purchase your Pixel 9 series (non-Fold) unlocked smartphone by December 2nd, 2024 (price will vary by storage size selected):
- Combine with the Google Store's current device trade-in offers for even more savings.
- Example:
- Google Pixel 9 Pro
- $999 - 30% off discount - $540 for Pixel 7 Pro trade-in = ~$159
- 11/8/24 Update: Trade-in values are now lowered and the $540 value for P7Pro is no longer valid
- Your trade-in value will be issued as a refund to the payment method (used to purchase your Pixel 9 device) upon receipt, appraisal, and approval of your trade-in device. Google may appraise your device at a lower trade-in value upon inspection of your device.
- Device must be in good cosmetic and working order (no cracks, broken parts, not blacklisted from any carriers, etc.).
UPDATE: Some Slickdeals community members have reported that signing up for Google Play Pass (
$4.99/mo. or $29.99/year) on their Android device, then checking the main page of the Google Play Store app on their smartphone, there may be a banner you must click which allows eligible accounts to upgrade to Gold status immediately at no extra cost. Note that signing up for Play Pass does not guarantee that all accounts will be eligible for the ability to upgrade to Gold right away and/or the 30% off discount, however; so attempt this at your own discretion.

Here's how you'd check to see if you have this code.
1. Open google play app on your android.
2. At the top right of the app, to the left of your profile, there should be a number and badge indicating how many points you have. Click that to view play points
3. Click perks
4. Scroll to bottom to see rewards where you could view to try to save.
I have the 30% off code, but no way to get a pixel for cheap.

or No Gold upgrade via Play Pass...
Might have to try another google account
Also are we sure that the camera / photo quality is the same on the 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL? I saw comparisons on Youtube where it looks different.. can't quite tell which is better but definitely looks different.
Finally, yeah the storage size.. damn it for years I've been buying 512GB phones.. but honestly that extra $115 going from 256GB to 512GB on the Pixel seems like a rip off.. welp.. I guess I'll stick to 256GB but sucks that Google does that
and what's the final cost if i trade in Pixel 7 128gb(great condition) for a Pixel 9 128gb or Pixel 9 pro 128gb?
